Inspired by our sister organization, Spokane Alliance, MACG is building relationships with government, business and community leaders to figure out how to create jobs that reduce carbon emissions and cut energy costs. In Spokane, leaders from the broad-based organization created SustainableWorks, an entity that is carrying out energy efficiency retrofits of both church and non-profit buildings. Here in the Tri-County area, MACG is interested in making sure that the growing interest in jobs that reduce carbon emissions be good jobs that provide training and living wages to people in our communities that need them the most.
