Become a Member Institution
Institutions interested in becoming members of Metropolitan Alliance for Common Good are encouraged to send a team of leaders to participate or observe in the Leadership Institutes for Public Life.

Membership Benefits Include:
- Free registration for an unlimited number of members in the local 12-hour Leadership Institutes ( thrice a year)
- Tuition for the IAF national training (summer & spring), and regional institutes (fall)
- Organizing assistance on issue campaigns and when appropriate, internal organizing strategies
- Connections with a diverse range of institutions in the area
- An expanded power base that will engage in major campaign related to a mutually negotiated Agenda for Common Good
- Designated voting seats on the governing board (Organizing Team).
Dues Calculations:
- Dues are a percentage of annual income used for the local operating budget.
- Membership dues for the Alliance are computed as follows:
Dues Formula ………………………………………… 1% of revenue
Minimum Dues for institutions with revenue under $100,000 ……………… $1,000
Maximum Dues for institutions with revenue over $1 million …………………. 10,000
Definition of Revenue
- Religious Institutions:
Pledges and Sabbath Collection for operations annually.
Does not include building fund campaigns, rent from outside tenants, or parish subsidy for school support. - Labor Organizations: Membership dues per local.
- Community Development Centers & other civic organizations: Core staff, and board and/or membership development. Includes membership dues where relevant. Does not include such items as housing income allocated toward debt service or management or maintenance.
Payment
Dues can be paid annually, quarterly, monthly and can be adjusted to keep dues in line with fluctuating revenue and budgets.
