Wrestling with the Truth of Colonization
This spring we are hosting our second Wrestling with the Truth of Colonization training!
Let's grow the MACG "Wrestling" Team!
Join the dozens of leaders from MACG member institutions who participated in the Wrestling with the Truth of Colonization training last year, as we expand our capacity to engage in action with local Indigenous institutions!
The Spring 2024 Wrestling with the Truth of Colonization Training is a powerful opportunity for MACG leaders and institutions to...
Engage personally, Reflect Collectively, and Respond Institutionally
to the ongoing impacts of colonization on our Indigenous siblings, as we build partnerships and look for action opportunities with local Indigenous organizations.
Wrestling with the Truth of Colonization is an initiative of IAF Northwest and was developed by a talented team of Indigenous North Americans, Aboriginal Australians, and Maori New Zealanders to help prepare IAF affiliates (MACG being one of them) to meaningfully and effectively turn the learnings from these sessions into long-term community organizing efforts towards upholding native sovereignty and real solidarity between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities.

Last Three Sessions:
The last three sessions will be spaced out over three months and designed to continue each individual's personal wrestling, dig into local histories and experiences of Indigenous peoples, and identify action opportunities. The final dates for these sessions will be set during the first five sessions happening in April.
COST and Registration Deadline:
Like all of our trainings, this one is free to members of MACG member institutions. There are also slots available for individuals who are not part of a MACG member organization. The full training cost to non-members is $250/person, with a sliding scale available to support access. Please contact Riley ([email protected]) to see about availability of open non-member slots.
The registration deadline for this event is Monday April 1st at midnight PST.
