On September 22, 2024, 60 leaders gathered to Ignite & Unite for Broad Based Organizing!

The theme of the assembly was Ignite & Unite for Broad Based Organizing! The Assembly participated in 1-1 meetings, mixed group table talks and institutional caucuses. Shared pressures emerged around housing, fair wages, food insecurity, and other issues impacting our communities in the Portland Metro Area. 

The 60 leaders present represented ten MACG member institutions:

• Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary
• SMART Local 16
• Spirit of Grace
• Spirit of Lutheran
• St. Andrew Lutheran
• St. Andrew Catholic Church
• The Peace House

As well as guests from seven former and prospective MACG member organizations.
